As always, a great source of information and resources with some additional home learning resources not on the BC Government website.

Subject to final accounting, this past weekend’s third annual East Van Soiree raised slightly over $20,000 for Livingstone and Brock Schools! * Save February 27, 2021 for next year’s event *
Julia, Livingstone’s co-chair, would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who came, volunteered, supported us and shook their legs on the dance floor.
Thank you to the indefatigable Livingstone committee members: Anne Marie Waddell, Jessica Zallen, Sarah Mah Ming, Tegan Moss and Joanne McLeod.
And a massive thank you to those who financially or in kind supported this event:
MacDonald Realty - champagne reception
Karley Rice Real Estate - raffle sponsor
Rice Harbut Elliott LLP - bar sponsor
David Goodison - ceramics
Central City Distillery - beer and gin drinks
Nude - vodka and tequila drinks
Biercraft - 11pm poutine
5M Photobooth - photo-booth
Lonsdale Events - rentals
DJ Rocky - dance floor!
Hope to see you all at Heritage Hall next year.
Results of the Seismic Project survey have been posted by the VSB and were presented at a Facilities Committee Meeting last night. We were represented on the committee by DPAC and a Livingstone parent attended as well. Trustees asked a number of questions of staff and seemed interested in the specifics of the project and other possible upgrades, however continued advocacy to both the province and school board will be needed to ensure additional upgrades become a reality. We will have more info to share at the PAC meeting next week.
Details of the Survey

If you are interested in being part of a parent seismic committee please sign up here. We will also be meeting briefly after the PAC meeting on March 11th.
As a follow-up to our PAC meeting on February 19th, here is the link to a google sheet where we can list our concerns over the seismic upgrade (Tab 1) and also list your name if you'd like to be a part of a parent committee (tab 2).
For those that haven't completed the VSB survey yet, it would be appreciated if you could review the list and help advocate for some of the concerns shared by the community.
Reminder: Survey closes Thursday, Feb 27th.
Info on the Livingstone Seismic Project is now available on the VSB site. Please take the time to fill out the survey (link will be available on February 14) and send any feedback you have regarding the project. The PAC has also been gathering feedback and will be forming a seismic committee to advocate on behalf of the school community.
